Cover story
A piece of furniture with two lives
Workshop notes
A bed is usually the quietest thing in a room. That is where we began: a clean-lined frame in solid wood, joined by hand, without fuss. With the footboard panels closed, nobody looks twice, and nobody needs to.
But every frame also has a night panel. With its round openings and metal rings, it carries the same bed into an entirely different character. Swapping panels takes a minute and needs no tools.
Your guests only ever see a beautiful bed. The rest stays between you.
A note from the workshop
That is why this page is printed in two editions. After eight in the evening the paper darkens, the ink turns to gold and the photographs show the night panel. From seven in the morning, everything calms down again.
We will not say more. Like good furniture, a good secret should not give too much away.
